Beautiful machines indeed, and you preserved the personal history of it. I can relate to this feeling - I once bought an Olympia portable and found it in almost unused condition. It became my office typewriter, supplementing the computer now and then. I have another Olympia of the same series, but only this "new" one opened my eyes on how it must have felt back in the days when people received their typewriters "fresh" from the factory. Accuracy of typing, the look, all feels first class. If I could afford it, I would have some of my favourite machines serviced to this top level by a specialist.

Very beautiful and excellent machines! What a fantastic find!
The type face is wonderful and looks as though it saw little use or kept very very clean.

What a great find. It's such a great feeling finding a older typewriter that has hardly been used. They become special machines in your collection. I've been lucky enough to find a few of these myself. I really enjoy reading your blog. Sorry I don't comment enough.

Lovely machines -- I must get a Champion someday -- and interesting story about Australind.

It is very reassuring to know that pristine typewriters like these Underwoods still exist in this world.

You are not only lucky, you are BLESSED! ...as well as being a valuable custodian of many very fine typewriters. Thank you for preserving them!
